Julia Sivarajah, M.A., R.P.
Julia is a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. She has over twelve years of experience providing mental health counselling across community, hospital, residential, school, private practice, and virtual treatment settings. In addition to her clinical work, Julia has served as a college professor in psychology, teaching and supporting post‑secondary students in courses related to mental health, human development, and counselling foundations.
Julia’s counselling approach is client‑centred and strengths‑based. She integrates therapeutic models based on best fit and client preference, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), informed Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), trauma‑informed counselling, psychoeducation, and solution‑focused strategies.
Julia is deeply passionate about helping others and holds values such as compassion, kindness, and empathy at the core of her work. She is the founder of Take Care Psychotherapy and the author of two children’s mental health storybooks: When I Feel My Tough Feelings and I Don’t Like It, But Maybe.
Miriam Blond, MSW, RSW
Meet Miriam Blond, MSW, RSW, a warm, experienced therapist with over 20 years supporting youth, adults, and parents/caregivers across community and hospital settings. She helps clients with mild to moderate mood and anxiety concerns, relationship stress, addiction-related challenges, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions, using a practical, collaborative approach focused on meaningful, lasting change. Miriam also brings clinical experience supporting individuals and families navigating chronic pain and health-related stress.
Miriam is especially skilled in working with adolescents and young adults, supporting self-esteem, emotional regulation, peer and family dynamics, and resilience. She creates a supportive space where clients feel understood while building concrete coping tools they can use in daily life.
In her work with parents/caregivers, Miriam offers non-judgmental coaching grounded in youth mental health and addiction expertise. She helps parents respond more effectively, reduce conflict cycles, and strengthen connection at home.
Her approach integrates evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT-informed strategies, and ACT, tailored to each client’s goals, strengths, and pace. Miriam is also engaged in supervised practice to continue deepening and strengthening her therapeutic work. She warmly welcomes clients to begin a healing and growth journey with her.
Virtual therapy is currently available on Saturdays.
